Chocaid Credentials

We know that you are almost as anxious as we are to make sure that your Chocaid.com chocolate plays by the rules. After all, as responsible consumers, you have a right to know that what you buy is as ethical as is humanly possible.

So to put your mind at rest, here is a little outline of just where and how your Chocaid.com gets to you.

We buy our beans from the Dominican Republic, from a group of fair trade farmers. After a six month growing period the pods are harvested and the beans extracted and carried in hessian sacks to the local processing factory. There the sacks are weighed and - this is important bit - the farmers get a decent and fair price for their produce.

The beans are dried and then shipped to our certified organic and fair trade factory in Germany, where they are crushed and ground into liquid cocoa. Add a few vital ingredients such as organic milk and the yummy chocolate liquid is poured into the moulds and then packaged in our distinctive Chocaid.com wrapping.

So there you have it. Organic, fair trade, and don't forget the donation made to Save the Children with every sale. No wonder buying Chocaid.com virtually qualifies you for sainthood!
