Save the Children

When I first approached Save the Children to set up the Chocaid.com partnership, I'll admit that I knew little of the amazing work that they do.

Like you, I knew that Save The Children was one of the worlds largest charities working around the world to help those in developing countries in times of hardship or disaster.

But did you know for example, that Save The Children currently operates in 52 countries around the world, moving in to disaster areas at literally a few hours notice. That they go where other agencies fear to tread, such as The Congo and Rwanda after the genocide.

Earlier this year I flew out to Northern Ethiopia with Selina, a fund raiser for Save the Children. She wanted to show me exactly where the money from Chocaid.com would be going and it is not an exaggeration to say that that trip changed my life.

I saw families who literally lived on bread and nothing else. Children who were ill and in desperate need of medicine. But I also saw smiling faces and enjoyed wonderful friendliness and hospitality. I understood too, that with just a little bit of help these naturally hard working people can be lifted out of poverty and into a future where their children, and their grandchildren can enjoy a better future.

It made me so proud that Chocaid.com is a partner of Save The Children. And when you buy a Chocaid.com product you should be proud of yourself as well.
